Reno 2015
Fees:
Attendees may register by navigating to mynevadatickets.com, clicking the blue Performing Arts button, and then clicking Earth Matters on the next page. Conference fees are $55 plus online processing and fees. Some processing costs can be avoided by registering once you arrive at the conference. Registration will be possible at select times on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Lodging Information:
There are many, many hotel options in Reno, several of which are very close to campus. Typically, speakers and visitors to the University choose to stay at Circus Circus (www.circusreno.com). Circus Circus has provided a special code for the conference. Whether you've already made reservations or not, I'd suggest contacting them and mentioning that you'd like to book (or re-book) using the code IEMOS. Rates under this code are as follows: 30.99 Wednesday and Thursday, $109.00 Friday, and $119.00 Saturday. Apologies for this late notice; it took the hotel quite a while to respond to our request for a special rate. Additionally, the El Dorado is close and they offer slightly cushier accommodations for a higher per night cost (www.eldoradoreno.com).
A free shuttle service is available that will take you from the airport to either of these hotels (and back again on Saturday). In addition, the Sierra Spirit runs between both of these hotels and campus - in fact, there's a stop on Virginia St. right outside the Church Fine Arts Building. Information regarding the Spirit can be found by clicking HERE.
Click here for a campus map that includes directions to campus from Circus Circus along with campus dining information.
If you have questions when booking a room or regarding travel to and from the airport or hotels, please don't hesitate to ask: jonathont@unr.edu.
We look forward to seeing you in Reno!

EMOS 2015 - Conference Facilities
The Church Fine Arts Building is located near the southern tip of the University of Nevada, Reno's campus near downtown Reno. The building houses the School of the Arts, which includes the Departments of Art, Music, and Theatre & Dance. Nearby campus spaces include Manzanita Lake, the historic Quad, and several other interesting and virtually untapped spaces for outdoor performance and workshops. In addition, the building is adjacent to North Virginia Street, giving easy access to the City of Reno and Interstate 80.
The CFA houses two main performance spaces for university theater and dance productions--one newly renovated 270-seat proscenium theater and a black box studio theater with variable seating. The conference will have access to both spaces for performances and performance workshops.
In addition, the acting studio, two 30-40 seat classrooms with technology, the costume shop, and a small classroom space with drafting/craft tables will be available during the conference. Larger rooms may be available in other spaces across campus by special request.
